Betsy's story
Beauty(right in both pictures) and Betsy(left in both pictures) came to us after being discarded by the Amish. We were told they would kill them if someone didn't want to take them. They were no longer of value to them because they were too old to sell as puppies. They are one year old.
Beauty is all white (cream) and Betsy is White/cream with a black saddleback (color pattern on her back similar to a German Shepherd). They both have blue eyes and are petite in size (38-40 lbs)
The girls were scared when they first arrived. As you can imagine they were probably never socialized or played with. They didn't understand a leash or peoples touch. Their fur is stained yellow from urine from being kept in cages and never getting outside. That will correct with time as they get bathed (they have had several already) and their new fur comes in. They are looking much better (fur and body condition) and socially they are much happier now. They enjoy people cuddling them now. They understand their routine and how to play with the other dogs. They are full of life and really seem to enjoy everything now.
Both girls have been spayed, heartworm tested negative, and are current on their vaccines. They are crate trained and house broken. We have also microchipped them and kept them on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. They are getting along great with all people and the other dogs (similarly sized).
